YUREA Polyurethane Foam is sensitive to humidity and may absorb water. Containers should be kept tightly closed and protected from contamination with moisture and foreign materials, which can adversely affect processing.
The shelf life for YUREA Polyurethane Foam is 6 months for (Polyol) from the date of manufacture and should store indoors at temperatures of 20-30°C. The Polyol blend should mix well before use. As for the Isocyanate, it has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture. These materials should be stored indoors at temperatures between 20°C – 30°C.
When cleaning spills of either the Polyol or Isocyanate, wear goggles, impervious gloves, coveralls and boots, and a NIOSH/MSHA approved positive pressure supplied-air respirator. For the Isocyanate side spill, add an equal amount of neutralizing solution (90-95% water, 5-10% ammonia). For Polyol and Isocyanate side spill, add dry adsorbent, then shovel or sweep up and place in appropriate sized clean metal container and seal.
